Allow Prompter under Microphone in System Settings → Privacy & Security. For um counts or Follow Voice, allow Speech Recognition too. Quit and reopen Prompter after changing permissions.
Open the Takes column and choose the take. If the reel is empty, the last session may have been cleared. Audio lives in Prompter’s Application Support folder on this Mac.
Use Studio, Notch, or Full in the header. In Settings → Display, choose Follow Mouse to move between displays, or Fixed Display to keep the teleprompter on one screen.
Put both devices on the same trusted network, enable the mode in Settings → Advanced, and open the address Prompter shows. If prompted, allow incoming connections in the macOS firewall.
Use a .pptx file that contains presenter notes. For Keynote or Google Slides, export to PowerPoint first, then import that file.
Turn on Hide from Screen Sharing in Settings before recording. Make a short test; capture apps and external hardware do not all behave the same way.
